Grief Counselling

pages of a book folded in the shape of a heart

Following the death of a loved one, you may feel a void that extends well beyond the role they played in your life. You may feel you have lost yourself when you lost that piece of your heart. Your energy may be depleted and you may struggle to find joy in things you once loved.

Grief counselling offers you a safe space to express the sadness, anger and range of emotions that accompany your loss. It can be reassuring to understand the stages of grief and that your reactions are legitimate and common. My goal is to help you develop coping mechanisms to better manage the intense emotions and the practical challenges that arise after a loss. I hope to help you come to terms with your emotions so you can find ways, however large or small, to heal.

By normalizing grief you can develop an enhanced emotional resilience that allows you to honour your loved ones memory by integrating their impact on your life into your new reality. This can help improve your overall well-being while also enhancing your support network and ability to take care of your emotional and physical needs during the grieving process. Our goal will be to find meaning and purpose in your life after loss.
