FAQS

  • In client led therapy, it will be your choice if we talk about one specific challenge you are facing or if we explore how various experiences and challenges throughout your life have led to you being here now.

  • I accept payment through e-transfer to carley.mcs@outlook.com prior to our session. A receipt with my registration number will be provided upon receipt of payment. If you have extended health benefits you can submit this receipt for full or partial reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your extended health provider about what coverage is available to you.

  • In the province of Ontario, Social Work services are HST exempt. There will be no tax added to my hourly fee.

  • I ask for two business days notice in the event you need to reschedule your session. This allows me time to offer that appointment to someone else who may be hoping for a last minute opening.

If a session is cancelled with less than two business days notice from the scheduled appointment time, you will be charged the full session fee.

  • As a Registered Social Worker, with a Master of Social Work, my services are covered by most insurance companies. I encouraged clients to review their individual insurance policy to understand what coverage they may have for my services. It is important that you be aware how much coverage you have per year so you can plan for any out of pocket expenses.

  • Confidence that sessions remain private is the foundation of therapy. It is important that you also understand the limits to confidentiality. Information we discuss can only be shared with your consent, with a few exceptions. If you share with me real or suspected child abuse or neglect or a plan to cause harm to yourself or others, then I am required to report this to an appropriate authority to protect the community. In the case of court orders or subpoenas, information may also be released to a third party. This will be reviewed in our initial session.
