McKechnie Counselling Services is pleased to welcome a new Associate to our clinical team. Carley McKechnie has recently joined our practice and is now accepting new clients.
Carley completed her Masters of Social Work through the University of Windsor and specializes in working with children and young adults. Carley is eager to work with individuals and families who are looking to work on child, adolescent and parenting issues. Working from a solution focused approach and utilizing brief strategic therapy. Carley is experienced in working with individuals who have experienced abuse, bullying, mental health, addiction or sexuality issues and anger management concerns.
Carley is able to provide career and employment counselling as well as conduct workshops and seminars on any of these topics. Heather McKechnie has been providing Individual, Marriage and Family Therapy for over 30 years. Heather is the past president of the Ontario Association of Marrige and Family Therapists and past president of the Canadian Registry of Marriage and Family Therapists in Canada, Inc. Currently, Heather is the Canadian representative on the Exam Construction Committee and Item Writing Committee for the American Association of Marital and Regulatory Boards.
